Our Purpose & Mission
The Travelers Rest Historical Society is a non-profit, volunteer-led organization whose Mission is to preserve and share the history of Travelers Rest. The Society maintains two historic locations: The History Museum of Travelers Rest and The Spring Park Inn Historic Site.

Spring Park Inn Historic Site
Circa Early 1800s

The Spring Park home and property were bequeathed to the TR Historical Society by Nell Anderson Gibson, to be permanently protected and preserved as a historical house museum and park.
Restored to depict the Victorian period of the late 1800’s – early 1900’s, the Inn is open for Exhibits and Tours. Take a step back in time and experience the grandeur of this historic inn museum
History Museum of Traveler Rest

Formerly the Vest Store on Main Street, this transformed historic building now houses our town’s memories.
Explore the rich history of Travelers Rest and our people by viewing historical artifacts up close at the Museum.
Come see our new exhibit with items from the Anderson family!
