Events & Tours

We look forward to sharing our history with you. Both locations are adjacent to the Swamp Rabbit Trail, so include us as a stop on your Trail ride or walk. The Museum is open Saturday/Sunday; the Spring Park Inn is open Friday/Saturday and for pre-scheduled Group Tours.


Tours at the Spring Park Inn

The Spring Park Inn is now open for weekend visitors! There’s free “back of the house” tours – Fridays from 5:00pm – 7:00pm to see exhibit rooms, history panels and enjoy the gift shop. Full guided tours of the entire inn are available on Saturdays.

Free Exhibits on Fridays: 2:00 pm5:00 pm
Free Exhibits on Saturdays: 10:00 AM2:00 PM.
Guided Historic Tours are available. $10 for adults, $5 for students ages 7-17.

From Greenville, take I-85 North to Exit 54 (Travelers Rest). Follow Hwy 276 North past Furman University, staying to the left onto 276/Main Street. At first light, turn left onto Roe Road, then take next right onto Old Buncombe Road. Ample parking is available in the City Parking lot on the left just before the Inn

Tours at the Museum

Admission to the Museum is free, however, donations are gratefully accepted to help keep the lights on and the exhibits growing. Come see our new exhibit with items from the Anderson family!

The museum is open every weekend,
Saturday 10:00 am – 1:00 pm
Sunday 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm

Located at 3 Edwards Street, Travelers Rest, SC 29690 (at the corner of Hwy 276/Main St and Edwards St)

From Greenville, take I-85 North to Exit 54(Travelers Rest). Follow Hwy 276 North past Furman University staying to the left onto 276/Main St. Turn left onto Edwards St, then right into the Museum parking lot. Ample parking is available in the Edwards St. lot beside the Museum
